I was referred by a friend and I'm really glad I listened. The team handled a full basement cleanout; decades of old stuff, heavy appliances, you name it. They worked for hours without complaint. One of the guys found an old metal shelving unit I wanted to keep and set it aside without being asked. Small thing but showed they were paying attention. Five stars no hesitation. Empire Demolition and Hauling is the only call I'm making for this kind of work going forward.Posted on Google![]()

We run a property management company so we use hauling services a lot. Empire is now our go-to. They're reliable, fast, and actually answer their phone which is rare these days. Bonus: they never leave a mess behind.Posted on Google![]()

Okay so I don't usually write reviews but seriously, this service was a lifesaver. My husband and I were overwhelmed with clearing out his dad's old house, full of junk, old furniture, the works. Empire came in and made it disappear. Thank you thank you thank you.Posted on Google![]()

Empire Demolition and Hauling was available to pickup and remove a bunch of junk from our garage. They arrived on-time; worked quickly; loaded the junk into a truck and even helped clean up afterwards. Plus, the price quoted was quite reasonable too. They definitely will be recommended to my family and friends. Thanks for your hardwork guys!Posted on Google![]()

We hired Empire to tear down an old garage that had been falling apart for years. From the first call, they were super helpful and gave us a fair quote. Showed up on time, worked fast, and left the site spotless. Honestly didn't expect it to be that easy. Highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

These guys are the real deal. We needed some concrete busted up and removed from our backyard, and they handled it no problem. The crew was friendly, professional, and honestly? Way cheaper than the other companies we called. Win win.
Empire Demolition and Hauling is a demolition contractor based in Sacramento, serving homeowners and property owners across Granite Bay and the greater Sacramento region. We take on residential and commercial demolition, excavation, land clearing, debris hauling and site prep.
Granite Bay is a bit different from the suburbs closer to Sacramento. It’s an unincorporated community in Placer County, just east of Roseville, with Folsom Lake along its eastern side. The area’s mix of larger residential properties can involve projects ranging from house and outbuilding demolition to pool, driveway and land clearing work
Bigger lots mean bigger projects. A teardown here might include a house, a detached garage, a pool, a long driveway and a stand of brush out back. We like jobs like that because we can handle every piece with one crew.

We’ve spent over 30 years doing demolition and site work across Northern California. The crews are ours, the equipment is ours, and we don’t sub out any part of the job. You get one team from the first walkthrough to the final grade.
We’re licensed and insured. We get utilities located before digging and keep dust down with water. On larger parcels, we mark off trees, septic areas and anything else that has to stay put before the machines move in.

We work throughout Granite Bay’s two ZIP codes, 95746 and 95661, including:
We also serve nearby Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis and Folsom. From Sacramento, our crews head out I 80 and east on Douglas Blvd to reach Granite Bay. You can find Empire Demolition and Hauling on Google Maps and read more reviews there.
Granite Bay is in Placer County, so the rules aren’t the same as in Sacramento County. Keep these in mind:
Placer County requires a separate permit for each building or structure being demolished.
Placer County protects many native oaks. Most single family lots that can’t be split are exempt, but landmark trees and trees near creeks can still need a permit.
The area sits on granite bedrock. Digging for footings, trenches or a new pool can hit rock, and we plan for it.
Some rural lots have septic systems or wells that need to be located and closed out properly.
Big lots often mean long drives. We plan truck routes so heavy loads don’t crack what’s staying.
Commercial and larger buildings need an asbestos survey and notice to the local air district before demo.
For current permit details, see Placer County’s building permit guide for homeowners. We’re glad to walk through your project with you, too.
Is Granite Bay in Sacramento County?
ANo. It’s in Placer County, so demolition permits go through Placer County.
Can I remove oak trees during my project?
AIt depends. Many single family lots are exempt, but landmark trees and trees near creeks may need a permit.
Can you tear down a house and prep the lot for a rebuild?
AYes. We demo, haul, clear and grade so the lot’s ready for your builder.
Do you remove pools on large lots?
AYes. We break out the pool, haul the debris, backfill and grade the area.
What if you hit rock while digging?
AIt can happen here. We’ll look at the site first and plan the right equipment.
Do you work in 95746 and 95661?
AYes, plus Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis and Folsom.
How much does demolition cost in Granite Bay?
AIt depends on the size of the job, access and hauling. We’ll give you a free estimate after we see it.
Can you clear brush and overgrowth on acreage?
AYes. Brush, stumps and old debris, cleared and hauled away.
Granite Bay’s all about space, trees and views of the lake. We work with that in mind, protecting what you want to keep and clearing out what you don’t.
